Don’t buy tickets to Raily beach at this pier. And don’t trust these people. They asked for 150 baht per person per way and promised to go back at 6:30 pm, but asked to pay for return tickets in advance. We gave 1000 baht for 2 persons, he didn’t have change and said that on the way back he will give us the change. At 6:30 when we back he said that, because it’s late the way back will be more expensive and return only 200 baht from 1000. Moreover (!!!!) on the way back the boat stranded in the sea, we stuck in the middle of the sea 500 m from a closest beach and a few km to the destination. A couple of hours we tried to move the boat, but it was useless. They proposed us to call emergency boat but we have to pay for it(!!!!!). We decided to take our stuff and walk (water level was below hips) to the beach. When we reached the beach we met the fishermen who helped us to call taxi! It was just a couple of hours before the New Year!!!

Do NOT use the tour company located on the pier. We got scammed big time, and after addressing our complaint we got pushed out, literally, and were verbally harassed. One of the worst experiences during my travels.

Never under any circumstances buy a bus or train ticket in the agency called Kraby P.P Don tour which is in the pier. These guys have an organized crime band which steal your stuffs in the bus overnight. They tell you there are no buses from Krabi to Bangkok and then send you to Surat-Thani to take the bus. During the night they spray something in the bus that make you sleep. I already went to the police and reported it. if you search on google you will find several people that went though the same. Please spread the voice.

We came from Ko Pu/Ko Jum and had to pay 700 Baht for the ferry with open return ticket at first they wanted much more.. But it's still really expensive.. If you don't have a stay at the island you need to pay the long tail boat to the island and if you want to leave the island you need to pay 100 Baht per person to get to the ferry by boat again.. Now we got already our return ticket which was a mistake anyway.. Because there is a pier at the island and there goes a ferry to the inland for only 100 Baht and the bus to Krabi town is only 80 Baht but they don't tell you. . Someone will tell you at the island when you already got your return ticket and realize that you got ripped of again :D at the way back they bring you to an other pier so you need to pay a taxi again to geht to Krabi town or wherever you want to go.. DON'T TAKE THIS EXPENSIVE Route is only for tourists! Take a ferry from the LEAM KRUAD PIER to the island and back!

Scam alert!!

We wanted to book a longtail boat to railay beach from there. The woman behind the desk told us that it's not very busy today and it may take very long for one boat to get full (so it can depart), as we would be the only ones there. She recommended us to use a taxi to ao nang for 400baht and take the longtail boat from there instead. We politely declined and left, only to be addressed by some guy outside selling us a trip to railay beach for 150baht with 4 other people waiting.

Tl;dr: they are lying. You can get a longtail boat for 150baht from there.

Place where you can buy boat tickets or arrange taxi. But be carefully, taxi drivers try to offer high prices. Good price from here to Krabi airport is about 320-350 Thb for a car (in February 2019). Most of them ask you for 400 and more.
