I have been to this somtam place several times over the year. The food is consistently excellent. The dishes are very local with some Issan dishes that even many Thais find exotic (e.g., raw beef with blood and bile juice). The owner is a friendly chap who worked overseas and can make recommendations if you are linguistically challenged. Definitely worth a detour.

Food was generally ok, but some items were not so fresh anymore. Also some dishes get just reheated in a microwave, which, imho is a no go for a restaurant. On the other hand, staff was very friendly and nice. Prices are acceptable for the quality served.

We went there twice and we love this place Thai papaya salad was very yummy and fresh.

There is a wide variety of Somtam, Green papaya salads choose from.
