If you have 2-3 extra bucks per night in your budget, go somewhere else.

Lets start with the good points :

- Good Restaurant with everything at disposal (beer etc)
- Small Swimming pool even though you shouldn’t expect privacy (it’s close the entrance, and everybody is there)
- Rooms are clean

Then what we disliked :

- Old rooms with the worst sound isolation I’ve seen. You feel like you are in the same room as everybody else. If you can’t sleep with noise, you are in trouble.
(We were supposed to stay 3 nights, ended up leaving after 1 night… 4-5 Kids shouting and running around until 10 pm and starting 8 am…)
- Mosquitoes…….. the most aggressive we’ve encountered so far.

This place ws great, the hosts were lovely and for the price it was amazing.
The rooms were clean, however a little "rustic" but the Aircon was good, the bed was ok and the shower worked well.
For the price this is an amazing place to stay, food on site and beer on site, pool was also clean and lots of people staying here when we were here.

Very nice athmosphire, nice people and sweet garden and pool. The rooms are quit old, but for this price are good. Hot water in the shower. They also have nice resturant and can help arrange hiking. Perfect for backpaking.

I have stayed here 4 nights and have extended for another week. Very happy with everything. It is definitely good value for money. Location wise, it would help to have a bicycle or a scooter if you like to or have a need to go into town frequently. The restaurant is open from 0700 to 2100 hrs and there are street food stalls close by inc a very good congee breakfast stall. 11/1/22 after 37 days here, I think it gives you an indication how Chian GH has hit the sweet spot for me as a solo traveller in covid enforced exile from Perth, Australia.

Excellent place to stay if you are after a traveller accommodation "old school". Inexpensive, clean rooms and a lovely pool as a bonus. The food has been good too, in particular if you ask for authentic Thai spicyness. Extra points from my side as I was allowed to store my bicycle and gear for free while I had to attend a wedding down in Chiang Mai
