We did an indigo dye technique workshop here and would highly recommend it. These ladies have so much knowledge, and willingly share the of history about natural dying and weaving. I bought some original and unique dresses and a embroidered piece from the gallery, all made with the same dying processes used for years here. Great setting out if town. Such a special experience and lovely ladies.

A place of wonders :) Patricia is a legit wise woman. Engaging, hilarious, down to earth and clear with the delivery of her vast expanse of knowledge on the eco dying realm. We enjoyed a 3 day workshop - harvesting, processing u0026 dying with indigo. Definitely makes you appreciate the intricacies and labor intensive aspects of these hand crafts! Just wow!
As for Patricia...I could have seriously listened to her talk forever. Both her and Lamorna Are Delightful humans! Artisans with an evident and active love for the Earth. How does it get any better? ????????????????

I really appreciate natural dyes and have been interested in the history and use of indigo for many years. That is what attracted me to first come here. The friendly and knowledgeable staff and owners are what keeps me popping in from time to time just to say hello. I have had some products made here and some string dyed here which I then had made into a sitting hammock. Beauty and function! I like the interactions they have with village weavers and crafts women.

A great place to visit if you love natural dyes. An in-depth training sessions with demonstration. They also provide you meals here.

The indigo class was the best thing that my gf (now wife!) did during our travels. Patricia was truly amazing. She is a professor of textiles with an outrageously deep knowledge of everything from the chemistry of various dyes, to the history of the peoples who use them and how that affected the evolution of textiles. I spent 3 days peppering her with a tiring amount of questions, and she continuously provided deeply insightful answers. If you are interested in crafts, arts, or sciences this is the stop for you.

Additionally, they are very involved in the community, which resulted in the enrichment of our vacation. Every recommendation they provided turned out to be an amazing experience far from the beaten path.

They also sell great clothes.

I apologize to them for writing this review 2 years after going. I am very lazy. This is the first review I have ever written and I am only doing so because of how much it impacted my time in Thailand.

I would definitively recommend this place:
I've heard about them in Berlin, hearing a presentation of Lamorna Cheesman (designer and manager of the place).
As textile Student I came here for a " one week Backstrap Loom Workshop" I felt really welcomed and i learned a lot, bringing at home a really beautiful woven piece. Sripai, who give me the workshop was really helpful and patience.
From what i know they also organize Indigo Workshops, sounds also really interesting.

This place has a long tradition and knowledge about Thai-Lao textiles. You can learn a lot about the whole process hidden behind a beautiful textile piece.
I was mostly fascinated in the ethic of Studio Naenna, producing in a traditional and handicraft way (with a big respect of the women's producing it) and with natural materials (like natural dies).
And of course the pieces they produce are incredibly beautiful, and is definitively worth to know more about the incredible work that is in each one.
