Bad treatment by the host.
There were a smell of smoking in the room (very bad smell).
Not good experience.
The shower is literally on the toilet.
We just wanted to go out the hostel

I had requested an airport pickup but this never happened - I had to take a taxi from the airport. The hotel is nice and centrally located. The owner/***ager is very nice but can come across as a bit overbearing. The room was adequate although the bathroom/shower is very small and uncomfortable. It was very difficult to take a shower and there was water everywhere. The hotel is right next to other food places so there might be a lot of noise if you are a light sleeper. I had a nice time and will recommend this hotel :-)

Booked three nights here and ended up leaving after two. The location and price are good but the owner is rude as all hell, there is no atmosphere and the rooms are depressing.
We booked a fan room, it was cool during the day but got humid at night so we wanted to upgrade to air con (200 baht more). She wanted us to pay the full 600 for an air con room even though we had already paid 400 a night in advance for the fan room. Absolute joke.
This place might be cheap but do yourself a favour and steer well clear, it’s worth paying a few hundred baht a night more somewhere else, you will enjoy your your stay so much more.

Got excellent rate at last minute. Everything is within easy walking distance. Rooms were basic for the money paid. The exterior is certainly in need of a fresh coat of paint. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were a bit disappointed with this place. Rooms were clean, but bathroom was very small and dirty. First night we couldn't sleep since 5am, because some people next door and receptionist were speaking very loudly, even after I asked them for silence. The worst thing was the cigarette smoke we could smell from the reception next to our room. And it's impossible to change the air in rooms downstairs. Maybe if you get the room upstairs, you'd be more satisfied.

The shower is a bit oddly placed but works, and there is mozzy net and bars and glass shutters on the window so sound travels a bit but it has been mostly really quiet here. North Star Guest House is a gem. I think we paid 200 or 300 bath for a double room here which is very cheap but you get what you pay for.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Extremely comfortable room with great attention to detail. From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm welcome. The hotel is located in a very convenient location. You definitely will get your monies worth by staying here.
