So much beauty and wonder in one place! I really enjoyed my visit and I learned so much. You can genuinely feel the love and appreciation for nature while you walk through. It is very warm, but they turn on a few fans. Take some cold water with you! It takes about an hour to walk through and we took our time to read everything and awe at the marvelous collection of creatures. A wonderful museum and worth the visit!

About 3.5 stars
It’s really complicated because right when you get to the building there is no door. After reading the reviews about the place, you need to ring a door bell which is fine. I was expecting a whole lot more since we paid about 6 dollars per person for a museum but it was quite limited and underwhelming. I’m addition, some of the specimen were not taken care of properly . BEWARE there is no air circulation, no AC, be prepared to sweat. ( sweat so much that you want to leave early????) Overall it was interesting to see insects, fossils, and more. I probably would not go again but it’s nice to see the first time.

I really appreciated Dr. Rampa’s devotion and hard work towards the research of mosquitos.
The mosquito room was my favorite part of the museum!

SUCH a cool place. Please go here if you're near Chiang Mai. There's lots of information about insects and other creatures, with a focus on mosquitos and malaria especially. They have so many neat specimen and nik-naks.

It was ฿200 for adults, cheaper for kids. Ring the doorbell on the left so they can let you in.

This place is a passion project from scientists that have dedicated their lives to the study and conservation of insects and all of nature. Great place to visit, even with my 4 year old who loved looking at the incredible amount of different insects and objects in there. We spent about 45 minutes but I would have personally spent at least 45 more just to read every single piece of history they have on there. Very interesting! Bravo.

A wonderful collection of insects, rocks, and other fauna. It felt like a cabinet of curiosity, and you got to learn about the creator of the collection–a biologist specializing in mosquitos–and learn about why it started.

To note, you need to go to the gate with the mosquito metal design (it's pretty cool) and then hit the buzzer to let the people know that you are there and want to see the collection. I am unsure of the hours but it didn't look open from the outside. If you have this problem then use the buzzer.

So many bugs! This is a really cool private museum. It has an extensive collection of bugs of the world, all collected ethically, and many precious stones, wood carvings, fancy driftwood and a display of the curators life work in mosquito borne diseases. Great place to burn some time
