Lots of fun. Just on the other side of the moat makes Lucky a great place after midnight. Staff and owner very friendly. Drinks were great but on the pricier side. Music was wonderful live band and then DJ playing really good underground house music on the night we were there. The roller doors shut, we rearranged the the tables to make a dance floor and got down.

I've been there a lot. The atmosphere is good. The drinks are usually good too. I had one time when even my Thai gf said my drink was weak and the pool tables are not cut otherwise it would be 5 ????.

I have to give them 4 stars for staying open so we could get food in the lockdown CONVID . I am sure this would be great with more people music ànd turn over. Support this family run business please.

One of the oldest bars on the Chang Mai bar strip (1999) with probably the WORST service. We got seated immediately at 11:45pm on the sidewalk in front of the bar. There was live music inside that we could easily hear and see- so it seemed like a great spot. (At first) We were served our drinks (which we were asked to pay for right then... Weird) and placed our food order of 2 orders of chicken fried rice (probably the simplest thing on the menu) and that's when the nightmare began. About 10 minutes later the front of the bar was closed off- effectively isolating everyone on the sidewalk from the inside, including the live music. (It wasn't raining, wasn't cold, and the place was going to be open for several more hours) Still no food. We watch the cook stuff his face with food and the bar backs and servers cutting up and snacking while we wait. After 20 minutes I get up to ask the cook where our chicken fried rice is (server was AWOL after giving us our beers and taking our money) cook says its coming... 20 minutes later (45 minutes after arrival) the server finally comes back and says they are very busy but she will check on our food. 15 minutes later (over an hour after being seated) we left dishearted and still hungry.

I don't know if this place thinks they're too good to care about their customers because they have been around for a while or if the employees are just too thick to notice when someone has been sitting at a table, waiting for 45 minutes with no food in front of them, but hopefully the owner sees this post and gets out of the game. You had a good run, and I don't know how you have made it this long- but give it up to someone that hasn't forgotten what customer service means.

This place was open during the night when I visited Chiang Mai in September 2016.
Has a nice rooftop bar/restaurant with acceptable prices and mostly groups of expats.
Is maybe open downstairs where they have pool and drinks and more local people.
