I stayed here for a week and it was fine for my needs. I took a fan room which was very basic but had everything I needed for my stay, and for the price you pay, you cannot complain. It's a quiet area outside of the main city, which is very peaceful although you definitely need a scooter .

Excellent hostel!

I spend almost three months here and I'll never forget the wonderful people I met there.

Many young people stayed there and people who want to feel young again. I met many people, and made new friends.
We worked alongside the coworking space that is part of the hostel. I really loved that inspiring quotes were posted on the walls.
The host is very nice and helpful, though unfortunately he had to go - though he'll hopefully be back soon!

The place is very affordable at 2900 Baht a month - co-working space, bicycle use and free drinking water included.

There is a nice, affordable Thai restaurant close by (5 min walk, 30-50 Baht a meal). The nearest shopping center and a welcoming, English speaking Christian church is a 30m bicycle ride. You can also enjoy a lot of nature here, e.g. there is a beautiful lake nearby.

Only con: The dogs are loud and not well cared for. Both the host and some guests are trying to do something about it. In any case, bring earplugs and/or choose a room opposite the street.

Careful with this accomodation! They stole our money and we were not allowed to use the electricity, although we had already paid for it.
We stayed several months at this accomodation, but from now on, we will never come back because of several reasons. The rooms are very basic but ok, except the bathroom was not very clean. The windows are not shut, so lots of mosquitos and cockroaches went through. Also the so called Co-Working Space and the kitchen were always dirty. The floor got cleaned maybe every 2-3 weeks.
The surroundings are nice. It is a great neighbourhood with lot´s of friendly peoples. We made a lot of friends and had good cheap food (15 minutes walk to the market). The city is far, so you have to take grab or do a 30 minutes bicycle drive.
Unfortunately the housekeeper was very rude, although we were there several months. He was very frustrated and depressive and put his problems on others. It got worse day by day. He didn’t say hello and he was always picking and shouting on us, because of little things, when he was in a bad mood.
One day he freaked out, because of the electricity bill of the whole house (9 guests 8000 baht in summer), so he shouted at us, that we are not allowed anymore, to use the fridge - which was used with the other guests together. Also he said, we are not allowed anymore to turn the lights on during daylight.
Other couples had even a fridge in their room, but this was not a problem apparently.
We did what he said and avoided him most of the times. Unfortunately it just got worse, so I asked him, why he has a problem with us, because the atmosphere was very bad. He said that he doesn´t like us and because of that, he doesn´t have to be nice to us and he doesn`t want to. He got very personal and used a lot of bad language.
After that, during working in the Co-Working space, it got dark because of the clouds and a lot of rain incoming. So we turned the light on. He came down, turned it off and was shouting like crazy at us. This happened twice. The 3rd time I told him that he can´t do that, because we already paid for that. I also told him, that it is ridiculous, because him and his Thai friends were drinking in groups in a large room, sometimes 3-5 times a week, having the air conditioning all day on, starting in the morning.
What a comparison to light for one or two hours. He freaked out and told us the next morning at 7 o´clock to leave immediatly, without even caring about the lockdown (COVID-19) situation.
We were looking for another place and tried to sort the money thing out, because we paid for the whole month already. At the end he even got more aggressive, tried to get in our room, when we had even still stuff in there. He maybe would have gone physical, I don´t know.
We contacted the owner in England about that. We didn´t get an answer yet, although 10 days have passed.
They were not willing to give us the money back (2 weeks rent), so we just left and got out of this freaking story. Never experienced something like that. You better stay away…
By the way: Months ago, there was an 80 year old lady, who had a problem with the drinking and the noice next door. She complained and got kicked out because she said something.

Have stayed here thrice and this place has never failed to amaze me. Say the vibe or the guest house/hostel rooms. Found people from many countries and we all became one big family. Small world. Highly recommended in Chiang Mai.

It was a convenient stay. Amazing owner and very helpful. He offers pick up ride and bring you to the hotel. The hotel have kitchen, fridge and bikes for free! Bed was so comfortable. All in all, it was great!

We stayed here for 3 weeks. If you are looking for village and calm style, this is the place for you. You need a motorbike to get around or you can have free bike from them. Laundry and kitchen availiable.

I was a very loyal (and easy-going) customer and looked forward to coming here. Then this place got new managers and began to cut corners everywhere they could (even though there weren't many corners to cut) and don't seem to take any pride in their business. They downgraded the internet of the entire place so it's pretty much unusable. They straight up got rid of the internet on one floor. They fired the person that cleans this place so it's fairly dirty (worms crawling around the kitchen, rotten limes everywhere for some reason). Also they never show up here so new guests are always confused about what to do so existing guests basically have to check new ones in.
