Good location in the city centre near everything.
The hostel on itself was a bit dirty, during my stay was a leek from the ceiling in to the toilet for 2 days. I let the owner know but he didn't do anything. In the shower was no hot water for all my stay.
This hostel offer a lot of excursion at really advantageous price, extra he offers other advantages if you book with him.

City Capsule is a really good hostel in the city centre of Chiang Mai. The beds in the 12 dorm room are awesome. Every bed comes with a locker, 2 or more power points, a lamp, enough space at the side to put all your belongings and curtains. There's also a private balcony to the room. The owner is really really nice and helpful and gave us a lot of useful tips to get around town. We could leave our backpacks here for 3 days when we drove to Pai. There's cold and hot showers, more lockers, a kitchen and the possibility to book many different tours with a discount. You can also rent scooters there. No scam and very good scooters for 250 Baht.
its not a party hostel and the common areas are not exactly for chilling or meeting people but the pluspoints therefore are the awesome owner, cheap price, good service and amazing location.
Can only recommend this hostel. Thanks for having us ????????????

Not the most private, and a few things don't work or aren't there (hot water broken in a couple of showers, some doors don't have locks, not all beds have fans, etc).
They also don't provide any bathroom supplies (only toilet paper, which you shouldn't use anyway...but no soap or towels). There's a small kitchen you can use.

It's a really great price, the bed capsules have enough space for storage, air con is good, and Mun is a very nice helpful guy :)

I guess they have 2 branches in Chiang Mai, but the one where I was, near Wat Chedi Luang was really bad. I was in a 8-dorm room and I have to say that this was the worst hostel I have ever been to. No key, no locker (ny wardrobe was broken), no proper check-in or check-out (the owner did not even check if it is me and he was not there when i was checking out). The bathroom smell was horrible and I got so many bites during the night. I assume there were bedbugs...so hot and wet in the room. I am sorry but I would never come back again...for this price I found much better places..

Good place overall, what you pay is what you get and for that price it's good. Water are most of the time hot and the AC is good but the issue is you don't get a lot of space in the room since there are bump beds on each side but it's ok since your bed is big and all of your belongings can fit there. Overall a good hostel.

Dec2016. Very cheap u0026 very basic but very clean u0026 comfortable. The top bunk bed is via a mini-staircase at the foot of the bed (unlike the usual ladder in other hostels). Fantastic!! This hostel is on the road next to the Sunday night market (inside the city walls). Fantastic location. I really like this cheap u0026 good hostel!!

Definitely one of the best hostels I stayed in when travelling Thailand. One dorm is massively smaller than the others so ask to see the room your booking.

Staff are really helpful and facilities are basic but do the job.
