Great up and comer gastronomy in Chiang Mai. The young chef creatively uses both local ingredients and spices and fuse them into Japanese and European dishes.

Most of the dishes were great but some of them were not mixed well and failed to elevate the dish as it’s supposed to. In particular the main dish prawn risotto.. it’s a bit disappointing. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I will definitely come back though because I really believe the chef will continue to improve making the food better and more sophisticated over time.

One of the best degustation menus I’ve ever had. A wild ride of flavour, texture, fun playful eating experiences from cracking the crackers to reveal a wondrous crab jackfruit caviar surprise to memories of a traditional Japanese breakfast with the whole chicken dish. Each had its own surprise to share carrying mountain to ocean stories, to friends of home grown wild rice, produce and hand raised beef from their paddock.

The staff were exceptional, tending to every slight head nod with a great range of beverage pairing selections. I had the mead which was a real joy to try, mead being the oldest beverage this was sourced from local wild honey. Because of that, the gal ours differ from collection to collection, but mine was a balanced dance of honeycomb, passion fruit beer and wine.

The head chef would visit our table from time to time in between our 10 course adventure, sharing secrets how he prepared and cooked our dishes with a sweet eagerness to see how we enjoyed his creations. Wonderful to see such passion and care in a talented chef.

I really think that this will end up on more exclusive lists as one of the best restaurants in the country - nay, even Michelin grade. I’ve eaten Michelin before and the experience here is comparable.

It was my maiden trip to a recommended Michelin Guide Thailand 2022.

Reservation was made over the phone on the same day.

Choose the 10 course meal with highlights of no prawns and beef.

The restaurant is a small, cosy but modern and quaint. Space is limited only to about 12-14 diners with 3 tables. We got a table for two.

Service was attentive and good with our cups always refilled.

The effort to explain every meal was commendable but communication in English could be brushed up since half of the diners were not locals including myself.

It’s a pity that there was no storyline within the 10 courses. It was merely a mention of how and what was obtained to produce the food.

The quality of food was excellent and obtained locally within the Thailand provinces.

There are 2 suggestions to be highlighted.

1. Despite highlighting we don’t take beef, they still served it to us. Luckily we asked and only then it was changed.

2. It would be good to remove the plates after all diners have completed their meals. My partner plates was removed while I’m still eating. I do find it unacceptable though we didn’t make a ruckus out of it. Pls take note of this and make some improvements!

Generally we enjoyed the meal as it was a modern twist of Thai fusion local food.

The 10 course meal cost 2200 baht excluding drinks.

My best restaurant in Chiang Mai, discover the taste of Thailand through the course, I would recommend anyone to come. They change menu almost every month, so you can come back over and over.

Outstanding!!! We had a fantastic dinner at this tiny speakeasy place. The restaurant is situated on top of a Gelato parlor. The staff was very kind and friendly.
Set menu only. The menu is changing ove the seasons and products available. The taste of every dishes was unique. The honey ice cream was really good.
Overall, good value for money and fantastic foodie experience in Chiang Mai.
Highly recommended!
