Shibuya honey toast was a delightful mix of tasty thick toast, what could also possibly be maple syrup (honey?), as well as 2 scoops of ice cream.
With the ice cream, which on their own is already pretty good, the warm toast takes on a mixture of sweet and savory. The outside was a little crisp while the inside of the toast was soft and buttery. The inside having absorbed some of the melting ice cream provides the complementing mix of sweet and salty.
All this makes the toast good enough to eat without the syrup.
The Thai ice milk tea was decent, but failed to impress after the high bar set by the toast.
Overall, it's worth a 15 min wait to try out the toast, and definitely worth a return visit if you can stomach the price.
