This is a place doing their very best for the rescued elephants in their care. These elephants have had a long, tough life in rough conditions working in logging and tourism. Return to the wild is out of the question, so this sanctuary is the next best thing. The elephants are able to roam freely and are fed a carefully monitored diet designed specifically for their age to ensure the best outcomes for their health. As a guest, we get the chance to learn about the elephants, feed them by hand, and get up close for pictures. An unforgettable experience and a place that deserves your support!

The elephants here are taken such good care of - no violence or aggression is used to control them. that means no hooks, rods or beatings. no riding on the elephants, and if they don't want to interact they aren't forced.
they do though, because they know the team are bringing them bananas and rice treats! beautiful, clever creatures, go support the hard work the team are doing to make their lives better, or if you can't go, donate through their website. you can even buy a cake option, which is a giant fruit platter with your message on in special frosting - an amazing gift for a birthday, end-of-year teacher gift (they do not need another mug or tiny succulent) and will show you the beauties eating it!

Probably the most memorable experience on the island for us.

Very educational, I learned a lot about their diet and special needs, the elephants past lives and the difficult situation for elephants in Thailand.

We felt really safe, the tour guide explained what to do and what not to do very well.

The preparation of their food and the feeding were so much fun.

In addition, the staff and facilities are really nice, there were even some snacks at the end of the tour.

A really nice way of supporting ethical elephant tourism.

They come pick you up at your hotel which is very nice. They take you back at the end also and they also serv me some food before going back.

An actual sanctuary where elephants are not used for stupid tourists activities such as trekking. You hear every story of each elephants (there are 7 elephants in this sanctuary, can't get more because they don't have enough space but they opened another sanctuary recently which is much bigger).
The people who works there are really welcoming and work for the wellbeing of the animal.
Overall, the sanctuary deserves a visit. Each visitor contributes for the saving of another elephant in the future.

Amazing tour of the elephant sanctuary, the staff are friendly and do a wonderful job looking after the elephants. We got to feed them, watch them in the natural habitat, and bath them.
Definitely recommend visit while in Koh Samui!

Spent a lovely morning here feeding and learning more about the elephants of Thailand. You can tell that the organization cares alot for the well-being of the animals. A light breakfast and lunch was included + they offer pick ups and drop offs from your hotel/Airbnb. Overall I had a great time!

Great to see the rescue elephants up close and get the chance to feed them, take photos of them and basically support the rehabilitation process.
Have clean toilets available.
I would recommend bringing boots as it gets muddy when it rains... and loads of mosquito repellent.
Lunch is provided but only watermelon, pineapple, mango, fries and spring rolls... so don't expect much for lunch.
