Upon arrival to the hostel, the entrance had a swamp at the front and we had to go through bushes at the back of the entrance to get into the hostel. There was no signs to tell us where to go. Once we finally got to reception there was no one there, when the lady came out she told us that they was fully booked (even though we had booked through BOOKING.COM) she mentioned that she told her boss to take off the rooms on the website as they was fully booked. Clearly the owner didn’t listen to what the reception lady said to him. We asked for a full refund but we was told that we had to go through it with booking.com (fair enough). I DO NOT recommend Monkey Samui Hostel as the management seems to be very poor and lack of communication. Mosquitoes was everywhere due to the swamp at the front door, which bearing in mind you can not enter through other than walking through it.
