My second time there. The completely rebuild the place. Now they have the elefants walk freely and you can go over a walking bridge where you can safely feed the animals. It's a fun little experience.

???? seeing the elephants chained and rocking back and forth because they are in distress. I just bought as many sugar canes possible to feed them.
I got to play with a baby tiger which was super cool but the elephants were always on my mind. The waterfalls aren't anything special.

Please avoid such camps, because elephants or animals are usually forced to do things that are not in their nature. Elephants used to be farm animals, right, but to make them do this, mostly young elephants are forced to do this very early. Sometimes they are mistreated or given nothing to eat, so their spirit is broken and they obey on command. If you like elephants, go to elephant rescue camps or something similar so you can really help the animals.

Lovely park, for those who wish to see some exotic animals. Elephants and the like.
For those who don't want to see animals in captivity, perhaps don't go..

Animals there are looked after there much better than some people think.

It's also the starting point to the waterfalls, on can walk all the way or get a safari truck to take you most of the way return (100 baht per person). .

Wear good non slip footwear, as wet rocks at the waterfalls can be very slippery. Also, it's a good idea to use mosquito repellent.

This place is a major tourist trap and not to mention, is VERY unethical towards animals. Made me feel so uncomfortable being here as you have to pass all of this to get up the mountain to see waterfall 2.

Elephant riding - they looked miserable and were being taken on routes that were very unnatural to their usual habitat and were surrounded by moving quad bikes???, as well as signs saying that they perform tricks, baby elephants were pacing around in the small cages they were kept in... the 'attraction' here being to pay 100 baht to feed them 1 banana. Cobra chanting, monkey shows, photo ops with lepords and tigers, a crocodile show and an exotic animal zoo...! This is the 21st century, why on earth do people feel the need to be treating the animals in this way? I was honestly disgusted.

Nice waterfall, if you pay to go and see it (which they only tell you about once you've walked all the way to the top), but absolutely would never visit here again and would recommend that you don't either.

Fun day of experiencing the wildlife of Thailand. There is a spot to take a photo with a tiger. There are demonstrations with monkeys. But the highlights are the elephants. There is a show that will teach a little about the elephants and then demonstrate how they can be trained to perform (they show there soccer skills vs an audience member). And then you can take about a ten minute ride atop an elephant. It was a little unsettling at first, feeling like I was going to fall off at every step, but I got used to it after only a couple of minutes and then enjoyed the rest of the ride tremendously

A strange collection of trained and caged animals showing their usefulness as coconut gatherers and photo opportunities for mostly Chinese and Russian tourists.

The zoo must have been very interesting 10 years ago. Now, at least half the cages are empty with their doors open and the jungle taking them over. As one walks through the zoo area there are odd cages still operating. One of them freaked us out with a growling leopard inside!

The food at the restaurant was very nice.

Photo opp with the leopard was sad. All it's teeth were filed down to make it tame.

Elephant ride was a loop of about 100 meters.

All in all, a tourist location for Mass tourism.
