Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Samui

This was the one of the best activities on my Chiang Mai trip. The ride to and from the sanctuary were a bit long lasting from 1-1.5 hours but if you’re sharing a truck with fun and friendly people like I was, the commute will be no issue at all. At the sanctuary we got to feed, pet, and wash the elephants. The elephants were so cute and friendly, the baby elephant was funny too. They looked very happy and had a playful relationship with the staff, you can tell they treat the animals very well here. I highly recommend visiting this sanctuary, I had so much fun.

Animals were treated very well, they looked healthy and happy. Staff was very kind and all together a unique and unforgettable experience. Definetly worth the money especially since a lot of it is used to rescue more elephants!

We had a wonderful experience at this elephant sanctuary this morning. They were punctual, collected us from our hotel and taught us all about the elephants. The staff was great with our young children and all very friendly. The lunch was great too. Next time we're in Samui we'll be back.

EJS really does feel like an ethical sanctuary from the moment you arrive. All of the activities you hear about which could harm these beautiful animals dont exist here. Only 4 elephants at this camp and all looked in fabulous condition and very relaxed about life. We had the opportunity to feed, carry out a medical check and bath with them. At the end of the trip the camp put on a traditional buffet which was also great. Well worth a half day out if you have the time.

Please don't tell yourself the elephants look happy and you're doing them a favour by visiting.

They seem exploited for us, the tourists. A real sanctuary doesnot operate this way.

Amazing day from start to finish....guide was fantastic definitely one for the memory bank . I feel the very few negative reviews they have received are completely unfounded and come from either a malicous perspective or from a general nut job.

Absolute amazing experience here. A must see in Samui. To be up close and learning about these beautiful animals and treating them with the respect they deserve is just awesome.
