Really nice place with nice bungalows. We had one with the most impressive view on the ocean and a hammock. I could have sit there hours with this view. Waking up and having this view out of the bed is so great. The location on the island is perfect but you need to be in good condition as the Bungalows needs many steps to reach them.

I would recommend staying and I would stay again.
After your hike up to reception, they award you a glass of juice made from a flower and peach. It was cold, refreshing and delicious. There was only 2 of us and the room was within our budget, B360. The room was clean, came with coffee/tea and a heat adjustable shower. The tile floors can be quite slippery but the did note it with a sign ???? The hike to the room was worth the view ???? They had a nice clean pool that didn't burn your eyes and wonderful sun beds. I really like the colors and accent colors they had. It made the place quite cheerful. And the view from the restaurant at sunset was fabulous. The only thing I didn't like was how expensive the restaurant was. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but the starting price was B140 and it went up from there. I would definitely recommend staying here. The beach isn't too far away (with a scooter rental just down the hill). The staff was super nice as well.

I had good experience staying in Tantawaian bungalows. Owner of the place is friendly and very polite and will try to do everything to make his guests enjoy their stay. I didn't like initial room that we were staying as it was sold as room with a sea view but it had very limited view of the sea (there is another bungalow in front that is in the way). I spoke with the owner about this the next day and he suggested few options with one of them being fully refund and another one to change the room. At the end we got another room that really had marvelous sea view. Should I mention that the owner didn't charge our first night stay as there was some other issue with our initial room as well. I would definitely recommend this place, if you are like me greatest admirer of the sea view. Room was decent and spacious.

Great place we enjoyed our stay. Secluded with great pool and restaurant area. Room we stayed in a little small and toilet not sheltered from shower. Staff and owners very friendly and helpful. No bar fridge or aircon in our room, only a fan but other rooms might have.

Best bungalow I've seen to date. Clean, great amenities, and excellent views (opt for the seaview if you can!). There's a good amount to eat, and some lovely beaches close by. A more secluded field than other places I've stayed.

Positive:
-AMAZING view on the sea (and sunset)
-Close to very nice beaches (secret beach, Haad Yao)
-Nice pool and reception area
-Friendly welcome

Negative:
-Bad water quality (the first night the water smelled so bad we couldn't shower. The next day it was a little bit better but still not good).

-We had cockroaches in our bathroom. The owner and staff did everything they could to deal with this issue and immediately removed the cockroaches and sprayed some anti insect.
Unfortunately we didn't get offered an other room, the owner only told us 3 times that we could leave if we wanted to, which wasn't helpful at all and made us feel like he wanted to get rid of us. Our problem even got trivialised by "it's just nature". We felt like he wasn't very pleased that we came forward with our problem. They way he was talking made us feel that it was OUR FAULT that it was bothering us. (That's why I'm giving a bad review and not mainly because of the cockroaches.)
I'm aware that we are in nature and this can happen, but in my opinion 4 cockroaches in one night aren't a coincidence, even if the owner tried to convince us otherwise.
The hole in the gutter of the bathroom was pretty big, a smaller net would help with this problem I think.

Information:
Be aware that you have to walk a lot of steps to get to the bungalow. But easy to walk if you are young and healthy.

We had a BBQ over there for a lot of money. The BBQ wasn’t working, the food was not spiced and not delicious at all. Also really basic. And it was not enough food for everybody, I was still hungry at the end. The staff was overstrained but friendly. I’m really disappointed.
