For bottom line we had a really good stay, BUT:
- The restaurant of the hotel is expensive as hell. Thai dishes (which are usually the cheapest) were 3 times more expensive than at the restaurants outside.
- the dirt road leading to the hotel is terrible. It was raining during our stay and it made the road more difficult to walk/ride/whatever.
- The location isn't too bad but you do need to take a taxi to everywhere. We rented a scooter (from BUDGET TWO through the reception, very recommended) so it solved part of the problems but the dirt road was really hard to drive.
- If you are counting on a beach, don't.

Positive:
- Truly great staff.
- Nice pool.
- Good breakfasts.
- Great cocktails for 120 baht at the happy hour (3pm to 5pm).

For the manager of this resort: you should try think harder how to make your visitors wanting to stay in the hotel rather than go out (gym, arcade club, pool tables, cheaper food).

Why we shortened our stay?

We stayed one night out of the three we had booked originally for several reasons.

1) Summer is not a ‘luxury’ resort. The rooms are clean and bright but basic. Beds are elevated on a cement base creating a step, a dangerous design if you have to get up during the night.

2) The pool area is nice except that beds are squashed and packed at times. One needs to get towels from the reception instead of the pool area. I was told by the staff that it is to avoid guests using several towels. I can assure you a luxury hotel won’t limit the amount of towels guests use.

3) Although by law in Thailand hotel staff is obliged to wear masks, that was not systematically the case at the hotel, which for us, coming from Bangkok, came a bit as a shock.

On a positive note, the staff was very helpful in doing the necessary so that I could cancel the rest of our stay.

We went to the Anantara for the remaining couple of nights where we had a lovely stay. The beach there is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

very strange that the pool everywhere is very shallow.
I am always a guest who gives positive and cleanliness even after myself and I appreciate the care and work of the staff.
but I will always talk about some nuances that will make the place better, because both sides need it and it's right and beautiful to say and help .
so the pool is so shallow that you definitely can’t jump into it.
even slightly.
because with my height of 170cm is up to my chest.
knees blow strong ???? be careful.
and for the place - you can, for example, make little cute signs about the size of the depth of the pool so that people understand.
I love this place and wish you all the best ! service and beauty and quality on top!

What a beautiful resort, with gorgeous rooms. The restaurant food was decent. We were leaving before breakfast service, so didn't taste it. But they packed sandwiches for us to take on our journey, which was very sweet of them. The view of the ocean is quite nice, but you can't go into the sea, which was a bit of a bummer.

Very nice staff. Just prepare for prices of food which are times 3 compared to the restaurants outside of the complex.
You can have them arrange transport for 100 baht/person from the pier.

Location: shady bars close to the resort at the road so maybe not the most pleasant at night

We checked out and the staff claimed we had used something from the minibar, which we had not. We had to argue several times before they dropped it.
We left our beach towel on a chair since we we going out for lunch on our last day (there were many beds available and few guests). When we came back the towels were gone and 'there were only new towels in the evening'. No solution like getting a room towel was possible.

All in all a very unpleasant experience. You pay quite a generous amount according to Thai standards, but the service is not accordingly.

Beautiful resort, amazing room, great staff and service. I cannot give it a 5/5 because the AC barely works and it made the stay, especially the sleep, not as comfortable as it could have been. They sent technicians, and in the end provided a fan, but for a hotel like this you expect the AC to just work.

Other than that, loved it

The rooms are nice and big, the maintenance of the rooms was cheap and even after that I asked them to fix it they didn't do it. Hotel restaurant is extremely overpriced and not tasty. Breakfast wasn't various and tasty except that they have a great coffee but that all what's good.
The excess road to the hotel are bumpy and full of mud. ( Don't try to wear a white shoes to go out.????)
Not worth the money.
