WAY overpriced!

2400 baht entry for this!?
The new half moon festival looks decent and the party was okay. Everything looks clean and organized, no drugs, drinks are small and expensive.

Save your money and go to the other events that take place every other day. They are similar and are way more worth the money.

This is one of the single events I would never miss in Thailand and of course never to be missed in Koh Phangan.

An amazing lineup of DJ, the whole event is organized as a festival, therefore everything was on time, they are three dance floors in the compound, the main hall, the G floor, in the cave.

Generally it would start around 9 PM and DJs will change every two hours and the party would last until six or 7 AM. Before you go to the Halfmoon party make sure to find out about the after parties as the energy will get from the half moon would not be enough to go back to your hotel room and rest ????????

You would also find some food stands there, not a great variety, but it’s enough to keep the energy up while you’re dancing. You can buy tickets directly from the organizers website, or through some agencies around the island or neighboring islands.

This is a bit of a different event than the full moon it is quality and for quality usually one has to pay more therefore sit your expectations high as you’re going to have a blast.

The entry tickets also include two drinks per person.

Its so much worse than the little expectations I had. You are at least 10 years too late of going there. Everything is severly overpriced - taxis going there, entrance (70 Euros for two nights), food (4.5 euros for a small piece of pizza) and the drinks are as expensive as in London or NY.
We were also severly disturbed that 7 year old kids were at the party with their parents until 1 am.

I strongly advise you of staying away from this party.

Overpriced for what it offers but really good music and vibe. Crowd has started to return now post-covid but must've been wild before. Must-do if you're around on the right dates.

Wonderful party. The organisers did a very good job. The vibe, music and fire shows are nice. This gives you a proper festival feelings. Enjoyed the last half moon of 2019. Was one of the most memorable moment in the Island.

If you want to go to a commercial festival, with a lot of (fat) drunk people and psychedellic trance then you should definitely go here. Don't get me wrong, the location and decoration is very cool, but the commercial part is just not me ;-)

It was alright. Not the type of place to make new friends as people come in their groups. It could be Spotify playing and would have the same effect. I would say skip this and do the full moon.
