When traveling in Asia I'm not looking for Western food. Plenty of that at home. However I was traveling for a month and then sometimes I'm craving for something more familiar. Chez Albert was a welcome change to the amazing Thai flavours. I had a rumsteak with blue cheese sauce. The people in chez Albert made it a nice experience. The 'cuisson' was perfect. The blue cheese sauce made it complete.

The location is not the most romantic but I do
recommend this place. It's honest food for a fair price and friendly staff.

Good French menu and good wine menu. We took the rumsteak. However I was tempted to take the cheese fondue. Was realy tasty and the cuisson (saignant) was perfect! Blue cheese sauce????????
I would highly recommend this place. Friendly Staf !!

Started with red wine, followed by cold cuts and cheese and finally steak with vegetables. The thinner steak was better than the thicker one so you might want to go with 300g vs 500g

Run by a passionate bon vivant from the culinary capital of the world (France), I just enjoyed the juiciest steak served alongside the best wine selection in all of Koh Tao. Vibe is paramount for me and here was cozy. Make sure you save a sip of red to accompany the chocolate fountdant!

I had to think about my experience at that place but eventually i came to a conclusion.
We ordered a steak and half an over dry duck.

I took a chance on this one... Duck in koh Tao ?!? Just DONT, wait for Paris and have the chicken, safe boaring and i guess much better.

I wish the waiter would have been less interested in chatting with her french friends and paying attention to other costumes.

Disappointment.

Very good meat! Quality food!!!! Must go if you are in Koh Tao and love good meat!
Good winery and nice place to sit!
Very recommend.

Small and cozy, with a great atmosphere and the best cheeses in the island. It has a high price tag compared to what you are used to in Thailand, but definitely recommended.
