Teenage party lot wasted and kids, there is more power parties than this one not recommended for pop hip hop fans, all trance and techno sounds.
However its experience if you want something for teenagers

Not as fun as anticipated
I would say its worth it to go if you're on Ko Pha-ngan already but I wouldn't plan my whole trip around it. There were quite a few people there and the fire show was kinda cool but the music was a letdown. Between transportation, bodypaint (if you want it), the entrance fee, and food/drinks it can end up being quite expensive.

Passable but overpriced and a somewhat overrated. The music was good but the party vibe itself wasn't amazing for the 600 baht the entrance cost and the beverages were very expensive.

The beach here is super warm and unswimmably shallow. You can wade out for 20 mins and the water still won't be above your knees. Beautiful though

Party was notso good. Everything was overpriced. The music was okay if you are into something without Text. I am regreting the money

I visited the famous "Black moon party" on phangan 2 days ago, on 31 March 2014, and it was SO FAR FROM BEING GREAT :( it was a mediocre trance party with around 400-500 people, same repetitive tracks (I'm a big fan of psytrance and full-on since Sesto Sento, ananda shake, bizzare contact and 1200 micrograms parties in Israel) and this was SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT.

The organizers did NOTHING except putting couple low-quality decorations and placing the big tent with a little bit ultraviolet lights. No lasers or fire show or anything to entertain the public. until 1pm the dance floor was EMPTY, all of the visitors were sitting around waiting for a miracle :D lol.

The location was great, on the mountain, amazing sunset. at 7pm before the party. but it has nothing to do with overall quality of the party which was low :( and that is SAD.

Well, it was not worth the 500 entry fee at all. very medium quality party. not a good DJ sets. Many of israeli day-by-day parties are way better than this one!
