Nice location and friendly staff. The bedroom has a good size and beds were comfortable. Overall it was very quiet, ensuring good nights of sleep. The sunbathing beds and umbrellas by the pool and by the beach should receive maintenance. There was a broken umbrella by the pool. Breakfast is very basic and quality of coffee can certainly be improved.

Found this place on a walk along the beach. We had made a shortlist of places to stay with beachfront accommodation and visited each to decide where to spend our next two weeks. We couldn't be happier. Situated at the end of the beach you have a couple hundred metres before the next resort begins. So you have all this beach to yourself.
Bungalows are beautiful. Cleaned each day with new towels and water bottles. Beach towels available at pool too. Aircon is modern and works well. Fridge is in room but quiet. Toilets are clean.
Staff are very friendly. Food is nice. Pool is lovely and situated just far enough from rooms so you aren't disturbed by noise. No road noise either.
Massage here is lovely too.
You can walk along the beach and enjoy all the bars etc or paddle around the rocks which opens out onto the next beach and explore there.
Can't fault this resort and highly recommended it.

Location is great as it is quite but only approx ten min walk to the busier bars and restaurants ***** the beach although there are a few to the left of the entrance to the hotel. You can ask for a free transfer service from the pier and rent a scooter at the hotel to get to know the island of Lanta. It didn't matter what the weather was doing the sunsets were always worth watching. The best part was the people; the staff really cared about making us happy.

My husband and I stayed at Il Mare in 2007 for our honeymoon. A travel agent in Bangkok got these rooms for us, and we couldn't have been happier. Everything about the place was lovely. The room was nice, the AC was cold, the people were friendly, the view was nice, the breakfast was delicious (aside from the coffee) Check the breaks on your scooter rental if you rent from them, just to be sure. The beach section in front of this hotel is not the best in the world, but you can walk down a ways and find some nice beach.

All the Bungalows looked in good condition and the bar / restaurant was being renovated in time for High season. Having said that the hotel provided great food in its restaurant, especially at breakfast. Lanta is a great place to hang out and we highly recommend it to anyone.

The hotel restaurant is good as well for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate at the resort restaurants a couple of times and we were amazed by the freshness of all the ingredients. I recommend it to everyone single or family with children Borut and Helena , from Slovenia.

Awesome place. Pool is ideal. Views are stunning. Rooms are very clean. Front desk are very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
