Stopped in here on a sweltering Sunday evening starving and thirsty. Cheese must be very expensive in Thailand because most pizzas here are very skimp on cheese. Determined to overcome this, i ordered the 4 cheese pizza here at Roma Da Mauro on the beach road. It was very cheesy and pretty good. Good size for Thailand standards. My wife got a seafood salad which she said did not smell or taste fresh. We did see a large cockroach on the outdoor balcony seating area while we sat inside in the comfortable AC. I’m guessing this is normal for Thailand especially 100m from the sea. Spray some bug chemicals every couple months, should clear it up. Male server was less than friendly, females were fine.

UPDATE ON MY REVIEW FROM 4 DAYS AGO

tonight was very disappointing, waiting so long to get someone to take our order (while waitresses are not busy, just talking to each other at the bar..!)
I ordered the gnocchis, the taste was ok but the portions was soooo small. 6 pieces of gnocchi for a main, this is not normal !
Tiramisù was dry (probably from yesterday !) and the panacotta was definitely not homemade as the waitress told us, you could see that it was industrial.

Pizza was nice. A bit expensive
Bad customer service.
They jump on you in the street to get you in, as soon as you are in nobody takes care of you. Had to wait a while to pay and it was not busy at all.

Ingredients not in a great quality. Pretty basic/low quality taste. We had pasta and it was over cooked. Ravioli very dry. Portions were large on Thailand standard. Prices like in Italy. Restaurant build in 1985 and inside remain still the same I think. It didn’t improved much. Very old and dirty. We sat on two different tables and both had holes on table cloth. Not worth coming here.

1-star for four cheese risotto that was basically Thai steamed rise with cream. Bravo! Other dishes were below expectations for mid range Italian restaurant. Didn't try pizza. Highly not recommended.

Food was OK. Nothing great. Price is a little bit high. Servers not very friendly or helpful. No thousand island dressing... Note to self: I won't eat here again.

I can t believe i travel so far from Europe to find this amazing food. With original italian ingredients and recepies. Amazing food. HUGE PORTIONS ! My photos will speak for me :)

Craving for PASTA,after 2weeks roaming around Thailand and we see this Resto that serving HOMEMADE but its far from homemade the Pasta was full of all porpuse cooking cream so disappointed!.
I force to eat Pizza with my husband but also the Piza was not delicious!
The waitress also not friendly
Paid for 610????
