I'm not sure the last time I really wanted to make a bad review of a restaurant. We had just arrived in Phuket at a local AirBnB, and quickly searched for a place with decent reviews - so Pim's Place it was as it had a 4.1 star rating. It was a slow night with only 1 table seated at that time. The waitress was happy to seat us, but that pretty much was the only good thing about the experience.
Ordered chicken pad thai noodles, steamed veggies, chicken skewer, 2 orders of steamed rice and a couple of drinks. Had a drinks first, then the food had arrived without the rice. We waited a few minutes as we thought they were going to bring it to us, but just kept ignoring us after the delivery. After standing up to get their attention, they seemed annoyed and gave a forced "sorry" when I asked about it, but brought it right after. To the point - the food was very bland and reminded me of microwavable food. I was not expecting that for the price we had paid for everything. I mean, it was edible, but that was it.
And to the bill - we were charged 4x for the rice; and again they had a bad attitude when I brought it up, but fixed it and returned with the check. Those few dishes and drinks came up to about 930 baht. Overpriced and under served just like a tourist trap.
All in all, this was not a good experience dining here and I have NO IDEA why this place would even get over a 4 star rating. Hey, maybe I'm picky, but there are other reviews that support this same sentiment. Good Luck to You, if you are reading this and decide to dine there.
