Very good if you want to drink some beers. 85 baht per one chang ($2.5) the staff very friendly and good music too! The place is full of bars, discotheques and ping pong show everywhere ????. Lot of people tries to sell stuff. I saw security but always take care of your belongings.

Kangaroo Bar is one of very, very many on Bangla walking street. If you’re looking for a relatively easygoing watering hole amongst the insanity, Kangaroo Bar and it’s affiliated neighbor fit the bill. Drink prices are pretty good/comparable to nearby bars. Biggest advantages are relatively low key atmosphere, management that keeps scammers and touts away, and no floor shows or colorful entertainment. Good for just getting a drink on a street where that can be difficult.

Be careful with this place - Avoid to go, it’s a scam for tourist !

They attract you with spirits and bucket at discounted price (250B for a bucket with Vodka or Whiskey) pretending they will use a premium alcohol but in reality they use the cheapest alcohol.

I have experienced this yesterday and observed the waitress preparing my bucket (vodka coke, pretending they will use Smirnoff Vodka) - I have been looking at her when she prepared it and saw another vodka used than Smirnoff -
I have challenged her and she became very furious against me as she didn’t want to accept that she lied to me, until I forced her to show me the basic vodka (hidden behind bar) she used !

We left the bar without drinking our bucket and without paying even if she try to force me.

I attached a picture (found online) where I circled the lady who yesterday was in cause - Good for her to be flagged !

Absolutely avoid at ALL costs. I am mortified by how our seemingly lovely experience in here turned so sour. It is one of few low key bars on Bangla Road which is why we went in there. We befriended one of the staff- who was seemingly lovely. We went back 3 days later for some drinks and dice again. Things turned very sour as the staff were getting annoyed that my partner kept winning at dice. To make things fair he rang the bell to pay for all the staff to have drinks at 1,000 baht. He paid in cash and did this twice. I was sober and watched the whole night. Towards the end some of the women became a bit too hands on with us. We woke up the next morning to find no bank card, and a 10,000 baht charge on the card to Kangaroo bar made AFTER we left. I have had a wonderful time in Thailand and enjoyed the culture and people here, so it really saddens me to see some taking advantage and being so deceitful. Avoid avoid AVOID!

Not only is this one of the oldest bars on Bangla Rd. This bar is always worth a visit. Great atmosphere and always good mood and music.

Take extra care! Ladies who work there get so much drunk that they start providing you fake bills with stuff you didn’t order and argue with you to let you pay it! Not a fair place, we felt extremely disappointed and cheated on!

Absolutely awful customer service. Two staff members harassed my friend two days ago for no apparent reason. Really disappointed with the behaviour of the staff in this bar and will not come back again.
