The Windmill restaurant Hua Hin

I was craving some mac u0026 cheese, but couldn’t think of where to go in Hua Hin. I thought about it for awhile and decided that Windmill might have it. I drove over there and they had something on the menu called cheese macaroni gratin, or something like that. The picture showed. Something that looked pretty much like what I was looking for. I ordered it, along with some chicky nugs, because I like them with my macaroni and cheese.
The dish was ok. The cheese wasn’t as cheesy as I wanted, and there sure seemed to be a lot of bacon bits on top. There was also some sort of faint sweet flavor that I couldn’t put my finger on. There was nothing wrong with the nuggies, but that’s one of the sweet thing about them…can’t mess ‘em up.

Nice little place servin up decent food. Prices arent too bad. Dont get the stroganoff, its not very good, but everything else was good

When I had dinner there, the "signature" pork chops were out, the steak was out. Not a great start.

So I ordered the Goulash and Beef Stroganoff. Now while not dishes tasted fine, I am sorry to say, they had very little to do with their name.

The Goulash was full of Vegetables in way real Goulash never is and the there was some beef in the Stroganoff, but that is the limit of how "Stroganoff" it was.

At the same time the prices charged reflected the real thing, not "spicy vegetable soup with a little beef" and "vegetable stew in gravey with a little beef".

Almost 500 Bath for a beer, a soup and a main dish is not, cheap.

The service staff was not particularly attentive either. Overall rather disappointing.

Perhaps it was a bad day to have dinner there, but I will not patronise this establishment again.

Coming from a farm family that raised and ate pork growing up. The pork chops here reminds me of the ones my mother would cook. And the fried potatoes makes it even more like home cooking. This is my go to place for a good quality pork chop meal.

We had an unplanned visit to this cafe / restaurant and certainly enjoyed the visit. The menu was quite extensive with Thai / Dutch / European options and food was very inexpensive but good quality . We had Thai food that was tasty and good portion sizes. The chicken with ginger and fried rice with pineapple we ordered were especially good. The establishment had both outside and inside seating and was very clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We can certainly recommend this establishment to others!
