This mall ALWAYS has so many people but it’s because it has everything!! You can come shop, eat, get services (banking, tech, beauty, schools etc) and watch movies. It’s located on the opposite side of Union Mall. I’d go shop at union mall (cheaper) and come chill/eat here (nicer atmosphere).

This shopping plazza is getting back to as busy as before pandermic outbreak. Every space is pack with people who coome for shopping, dinning, leisuring, meeting with friend. All shops are 100% open. Still have variety of food to choose for.

After the age of 16, I've hated malls. In the US I see them as corporate, controlled, inauthentic sameness. The only thing that changes is the which floor the Target entrance is, and whether or not there is a water feature in the food court. But I'm changing a bit. While economically u0026 culturally problematic, there are ways to make them better. This is one of my favorites.

Thai people live malls. There are many u0026 they serve different functions. Bangkok can be hot so its a good place to stroll in comfort. Its good to remember that you don't have to buy anything in a mall so it's a free pastime.

But as a tourist in an unfamiliar environment, its a concentrated burst of culture. You can be semi anonymous. It pays for itself so there's no entrance fee. It's a laboratory u0026 a social scene. You can study culture u0026 practice intercultural skills. It's safe. You can meet a group of friends or go alone. Kids and elders are ok. You can stay all day or grab something to go. If you get hungry or thirsty, there is something.

And there are things that can make a mall better. More independent u0026 traditional foods u0026 wares. This mall has central food hall which is fantastic. 10 different mini kitchens with descriptions in English u0026 Thai and the food is delicious u0026 reasonably priced. They also decorate everything for holidays. Crass commercialism - but you can learn from it. Thai style includes making space for commerce everywhere. So there are frequently mini markets within open spaces in the mall. It makes it a unique experience every time. Imagine a farmer market in a mall. US style expansive space and homogeneous experience is quite different. Its more like a controlled atmosphere street market. It's interesting that the American mall is dying. Because its boring u0026 predictable. I think that's just fine. But if we could take a cue from Thai malls, maybe they could reinvent themselves.

The building accessibility to the sky train is very easy and how spacious the station is on BTS. However for the ground floor food court, it's is very cramped compared to the open space design of central plaza overall around Thailand. Which is very surprising as it creates the feeling of tightness when there is many students whom just finished school for the day strolling around finding food or snacks to eat.

Another great shopping mall with all the high-quality brand names you can imagine.
Endless food choice too

Typical Thai shopping centre with all major brand names in clothing and other items… they changed the parking system and now require payment by phone app which may be a hassle for visiting without a smart phone or the Thai bank app required for payment

I went there to see the Cactus u0026 Succulentts Market Fair at the Bangkok Convention Center, 5th floor. The hall was very large and convenient, with many vendors and people who went there to see the beautiful cactus and succulents. There also many plant tools to buy. After attending the Fair, we van go shopping, go having delicious meals in many of restaurants and food court, also spend the time watching the cinema. It's very enjoyable place. For me, after the Fair, I went to Ippudo Ramen Restaurant having me lunch there, very delicious time.????
Seeing my photos of the beautiful cactus and succulents taking from the Fair. Enjoy????
