Teraoka Gyoza

Made for the dumpling lover. They have designed their menu around the humble Japanese dumpling. Cooking these in various ways, stuffed with different meats or filling and swimming in different colored flavored sauces. Can't say that the meal was great but it was nevertheless fun and enjoyable to see what more they can come up with.

Stayed at a hotel nearby and found this place hidden away in the Central Mall on the ground floor.

Didn't feel like having a big meal and figured this would be a good place.

Was pleasantly surprised regarding the gyoza. Have never been a fan of Gyoza served at other restaurants, but I am a fan now.

The 7-time winning gyoza comes in a delicious soup and was worried about it being soupy like a Chinese wonton, but the meat and cover was delicious.

I also ordered the traditional gyoza and it was served with lime and pepper, a very odd combination at first glance but absolutely essential to getting the flavor the owner intended it to be.

Furthermore, I ordered a yakitori don, rice bowl but it was only on the side menu and not in the main one. Highly recommended as the chicken is braised I think and delicious.

The menus are a bit faded so it makes it hard to read, but the winning one is immediately on the inside of the menu cover. Flip one page and you will see the "original" gyoza as you may have seen it on other menus.

The staff's English isn't great, so best to point at what you want in the menu.

If you miss the taste of Japan or want to know what it tastes like, this definitely is the place to go.

Highly recommended.

A solid meh, miniature servings with sumo pricetags. tastes ok but is more hype than substance. pass.

Gyoza is sub-par and service is terrible with no English. Not sure how they won any award for best gyoza. Stay away until they close very soon. Guy also told me 15% off and we didn’t get anything

The Gyoza here is pretty good just a little sweet for my taste. The curry chicken is also not bad, not too spicy per Japanese taste. Overall not too bad.

The gyoza here is really delicious. My wife, from Japan, has been here for seven years. The gyoza here is the best in Thailand, the udon is also delicious, you don't have to listen to other reviewers. Come and try it yourself.
